Use this technique while studying for the bar exam or anytime you feel anxious or fearful:

Take a minute right now and breathe deeply into your lower abdomen.

Don’t force yourself to hold your breath or breathe too slowly, but relax all tension and let gravity pull the oxygen into the lowest part of your lungs. As you do this, totally relax your stomach muscles and solar plexus.

If you find this particularly hard to do while sitting or standing, try lying down on your back with a pillow under your knees.

It is virtually impossible to be fearful or anxious with a relaxed solar plexus and belly.
